How Jaco Casa bachelor party packages work

A package is simply the combination of services you choose, arranged around one booking. You pick a home, tell us your arrival details and the extras you are interested in, and we send back options and prices for your dates. Nothing is prebooked or bundled in advance, so you never pay for an activity half the group will skip.

Package pricing depends on four things: the size of the group, the dates (the dry season and holidays are busiest), the home you choose and the services you add. Because each of those changes from trip to trip, we quote every package individually rather than publishing one headline price. The only fixed price we publish is our private chef: $150 per meal, or $350 per day for three meals, plus groceries.

Step 1: Choose the villa

The home is the base of the whole trip and usually the biggest part of the budget. Start with your headcount, then decide whether you want to be inside Los Sueños Resort & Marina, in downtown Jaco or in Playa Hermosa. • Up to 20 guests: Casa Maverick in Los Sueños (7 king bedrooms, infinity pool) or Casa Amarillo in Jaco (7 bedrooms, pool).
• 16 or more guests: VTB14 in Los Sueños, whose listing welcomes parties and events.
• Up to 14 guests: Casa Marlin, a 2024 view home above Playa Hermosa with a private pool and jacuzzi.
• Up to 18 guests downtown: book the four Breakwater Point units together (BWP Penthouse, BWP 701, BWP 702 and BWP 703).
• Smaller groups: Delmar (8 guests), BWP 701 and BWP 702 (6 each), BWP 703 and Casa Azul (4 each).

Parties and events are allowed at all of our homes, including Casa Azul; the limit is each home’s maximum guest number. Tell us what your group is planning and we will confirm which homes fit before you book.

Step 2: Airport transportation

Most groups fly into San José International Airport (SJO). Jaco is roughly a 1.5–2 hour drive away, depending on traffic, so arriving together in one private transfer is much easier than coordinating several taxis or rental cars. For an accurate quote, send everyone’s flight numbers and arrival times, the number of people and roughly how much luggage you are bringing. Step 3: Add a private chef

A private chef is the add-on that changes a group trip the most. Breakfast is ready the morning after a night out, lunch fits between activities, and dinner happens at the villa without a reservation for twenty. Our Jaco private chef service costs $150 per meal or $350 per day for breakfast, lunch and dinner; groceries are charged separately at cost.

Booked separately, three meals would cost $450 in chef fees, so the full-day option saves $100 per day whenever the group wants all three meals. Many groups mix the two: a full day on arrival and on the last day, and single dinners in between.

Step 4: Sport fishing

Los Sueños Marina in Herradura, just north of Jaco, is one of the best-known sport-fishing bases on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast. For charter options see Costa Rica Fishing. Charter prices depend on boat size, half-day or full-day trips and how many people are going, so ask for a quote with your group size and preferred day.

Fishing is usually the largest optional expense, and boats fill up in the dry season, so it is worth reserving a few weeks ahead. Staying inside Los Sueños at Casa Maverick, VTB14 or Delmar puts the marina close by.

Step 5: Adventure tours

Jaco has plenty of daytime adventures for a group. Ride jungle trails on an ATV Tour, fly over the canopy on the Zip Line, take Surfing Lessons on Jaco Beach, go Horseback Riding or rent Jet Skis. Tours are usually priced per person, so the cost grows with the group; check whether transport to the tour is included.

You do not need to fill every day. Two activities over a three-day trip, with pool time in between, is plenty for most groups. Our Jaco bachelor party activities guide covers each option.

Step 6: Getting around and recovering

Golf carts are a popular way to move a group around: Jaco Golf Carts for town and Los Sueños golf carts for the resort. For a slower day, book a massage with Jaco Massage or Los Sueños Massages, or have food and drinks delivered so nobody has to leave the pool.

Step 7: Nightlife

Downtown Jaco has restaurants, bars and Croc’s Casino close to the beach. If nightlife is a priority, staying at the Breakwater Point condos keeps much of downtown walkable. From Los Sueños or Playa Hermosa, plan a driver for nights out so nobody drives after drinking.

• Massages and a pool day before the flight home

What a package costs

The total depends on your choices, but a few rules of thumb help. Shared costs such as the villa, the chef and the airport transfer fall per person as the group grows. Per-person activities such as ATV tours and zip lines do not. Fishing charters are usually priced per boat.
