Jaco Bachelor Party Itinerary: 3, 4 and 5-Day Plans

Before you plan the days

Lock in three things first: the villa, the airport transfer and anything that sells out, such as a fishing charter in the dry season. Everything else can be decided closer to the trip. Stays have a two-night minimum, and five nights over Christmas and New Year.

3-day Jaco bachelor party itinerary

The classic long weekend: one big activity, one beach day and two nights out.

Day 1: Arrival and first night

• Group pickup at San José International Airport (SJO); Jaco is roughly 1.5–2 hours away.
• Check in to the villa and get settled by the pool.
• Private chef dinner at the house so nobody has to organize a table on arrival night.
• Nightlife in downtown Jaco, with a driver if you are staying outside town.

Day 2: The big day

• Chef breakfast at the villa.
• Sport fishing from Los Sueños Marina or an ATV tour in the hills.
• Afternoon at the pool.
• Dinner out or a chef BBQ, then a second night out.

Day 3: Beach and departure

• Surf lesson, jet skis or a slow beach morning.
• Final group lunch.
• Transfer back to SJO for evening flights.

4-day Jaco bachelor party itinerary

Four days give room for two headline activities and a proper recovery day.

Day 1: Arrival

• SJO pickup and villa check-in.
• Welcome dinner cooked by the private chef.
• Early night or a first look at downtown Jaco.

Day 2: Offshore fishing

For groups traveling far, five days make the trip feel like a real vacation.

Day 1: Arrival

• Group surf lesson on Jaco Beach.
• Afternoon jet skis.
• Dinner out downtown.

Day 3: Fishing day

• Charter from Los Sueños Marina.

Where private chef meals fit best

Chef meals work best on the days when the group is tired or the schedule is tight: arrival night, the morning after the main night out and the evening after a fishing trip. Our Jaco private chef costs $150 per meal or $350 per day for three meals, plus groceries, and you choose dishes from the chef’s menu in advance.

Tips for a smooth itinerary

• Plan one headline activity per day at most; the pool and beach fill the rest.
• Book fishing charters and tours a few weeks ahead in the dry season (roughly December to April).
• In the green season (May to November), schedule activities in the morning, as afternoons often bring rain.
• Arrange rides for every night out; nobody should drive after drinking.
• Share the plan with the group early so people can choose which activities to join.
• Check each home’s house rules on parties and guest numbers before you book.
