Charters are priced by boat and trip length rather than per person, so a full boat shares the cost. Larger groups can split across two boats or take turns between fishing and a beach day. Book early for the dry season.

ATV tours

An ATV Tour takes the group along jungle trails and dirt roads in the hills above Jaco Beach. It is one of the easiest activities for a mixed group because it needs no experience. Tours are usually priced per person; ask whether pickup from your villa is included.

Zip line canopy tour

The Zip Line flies above the rainforest canopy in the hills around Jaco. It pairs well with an ATV morning or a pool afternoon, and it is a good option on the day after the main night out. Age, weight and health requirements are set by the operator, so check before booking.

Surfing lessons

Jaco Beach is a popular place to learn to surf, and Playa Hermosa nearby draws more experienced surfers. A group lesson with Surfing Lessons is a fun way to start the trip, and conditions change daily, so an instructor helps you choose the right spot and time.

Horseback riding

For a slower outing, Horseback Riding explores the beaches and countryside around Jaco. It suits groups that want an easier morning or members who are less keen on speed.

Jet skis

Jet Skis are a fast, fun ride along the Pacific coastline off Jaco and fit into a couple of hours, so they slot easily into a beach day.

Golf carts
