In Costa Rica, what to Wear?

There is no required attire in Costa Rica, which is known for its laid-back atmosphere. Shorts, a blouse or tank top, and sandals make up the typical Costa Rican wardrobe because the majority of tourist spots are located around the shore.

As it gets chilly in the middle of the country, we advise dressing in closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a light jacket. You should bring a jacket and long pants if you intend to travel to higher elevation areas like Monteverde or Arenal.

When packing for Costa Rica, choose comfortable, casual attire. The inhabitants are generally laid back, and the clothes are indicative of the economic situation. Anything is acceptable as long as it is proper.

If you plan to spend your days outdoors in Costa Rica, casual beachwear is the best option because the country can get rather hot and muggy. Think of airy, casual tees and shorts; the two will go together like clockwork.

Don’t forget to carry your swimsuit because Costa Rica is home to several fantastic beaches. Additionally, you might have the opportunity to cool off in the refreshing waters of one of Costa Rica’s breathtaking waterfalls, like La Fortuna, or in the hot springs in Arenal or Orosi.

The majority of the males I saw were dressed in shirts and chinos or shorts. The majority of people in national park areas wore thin cargo trousers or shorts together with a rain jacket.

I would advise wearing flat shoes, sneakers, or sandals when touring towns and cities. You should put on hiking boots or athletic trainers for mountainous and natural hikes.
